To promote Thursday's airing of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, ABC revived last year's ad featuring Charlie Brown rapping the sales pitch about it.
'Hey, party people, it's Charlie B / Bringing Halloween Thursday to ABC,' Charlie rhymes. (Really, it's just the old animation with new voiceover.) 'Raking leaves and rolling on a pumpkin / Trick or treat, and then the party gets thumpin.'' In the longer version of the ad, the fun continues: 'Lucy's getting bossy / Snoopy's getting saucy / Things have gotten crazy with my Peanut posse.' Crazy! 'But where is Linus? / This party is posh / he's waiting in the field for a mythical squash.' Mythical squash!
