MAKE Video audition: Matt Richardson's Google Reader pedal

MAKE Video audition: Matt Richardson's Google Reader pedal: "

We're holding open auditions for video makers here at MAKE! Here's Matt Richardson's entry, an awesome keyboard hack that lets you control your Google Reader (or any other keyboard-shortcut application) with the press of a foot pedal. He writes:

Here’s a how-to video for an easy, but very useful peripheral hack. It’s for creating a USB foot pedal for any keystroke you’d like. For example, the letter “J” for the next item in Google Reader or F9 for activating exposé in Mac OS X. No microchip programming required. Just hack apart an old USB keyboard.

What do you think of Matt's video? Let us know in the comments below. Want to audition? Here's the info:

We're holding open auditions for new MAKE video talent. Would you like the chance to host your own show on MAKE and our YouTube channel with 164K subscribers!? We're looking for individuals, duos, or teams who make projects and shoot/edit videos. Think you've got what it takes to be the next Kip Kay or Collin Cunningham? Apply by sending us your best step-by-step project video (complete with materials list to finished build) and also let us know a little bit about yourself. This is for an eventual compensated position (after the audition process).
