First, the show's captains wanted to quit, and now one of the boat's captains has claimed that a crew member was abusing drugs on board, which has spurred a police investigation.
According to
the Unalaska Department of Public Safety in Alaska, police were called by Captain Derek Ray on Nov 5 to investigate potential drug abuse by a crew member on the famous boat Cornelia Marie.
Sources say that Captain Ray told police that deceased Captain Phil Harris' son Jake was abusing prescription drugs while at sea.
Officials say that drug 'paraphernalia' has been found, but sufficient evidence of Jake's drug abuse has not been found at this time.
